Several much-anticipated restaurants opened in Denver last month, including Ace, a neighborhood hangout/ping-pong hall created by the folks behind Vesta Dipping Grill and Steuben’s. Denver Business Journal | Shop Watch: District Meats, Wazee Wood Fire Pizza coming to LoDo in Denver, Colorado

More pizza, more meat will fill the LoDo location abandoned by Big Game Restaurant as Charlie Palmer opens District Meats and, right next door, Wazee Wood Fire Pizza, later this year.

District Meats, at 1625 Wazee St., is fashioned “in the spirit of the great American mid-century roadhouse,” says founder Palmer on the company’s website. “District Meats will serve seriously fresh food at solidly market fare prices in a casual ‘come one, come all’ atmosphere to create a local source of convivial community, no matter where you’re from.”
