The Denver Post | Denver council to vote Monday on Sunflower Market opening near City Park

As he pondered the City Council vote set for this evening that will decide whether a Sunflower Market grocery store will move into his district, Councilman Albus Brooks said he was undecided which way he would go.

To be sure, Brooks knew that what would be just the second supermarket in the City Park neighborhood would be a welcome addition. However, he was also aware of the strain that might be placed on residents of the smallish area, people who already draw the bulk of parking and traffic from nearby Colfax Avenue.
