Tavern Hospitality Group sets sights on Platt Park

Tavern Platt Park will take over the old India’s Pearl location on South Pearl Street and is expected to open in May or June 2013.

• Microsoft is opening a store at Cherry Creek Shopping Center just for the holiday season, along with many across the country. The holiday location offers customers the opportunity to learn new technology skills and get the most out of their Microsoft-enabled devices.

Red Robin’s Burger Works continues to expand across the metro area, opening a new location at Metropolitan State University of Denver on Sept. 24.

Panda Bicycles peddles into Highlands

Panda Bicycles takes the green movement a spin further with its bamboo-constructed bicycles, opening its new shop at 2513 17th St. in Denver’s Highlands neighborhood.

Another metro location for Athleta

Women’s athletic and performance wear company Athleta continues to spread across the metro area with its latest shop opening Oct. 2 at Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree.

More recent openings:

As reported in August, H&M’s Cherry Creek Shopping Center store planned on opening Sept. 13, which it has done.

As also reported in August, the Tavern Hospitality Group had secured a location at the home of the Denver BroncosSports Authority Field — that it is calling Mile High Tavern. Opening day for the new tavern location is now slated for Sunday, Sept. 23 — the next home game for the Broncos who will be playing the Houston Oilers.

Lucky’s Bakehouse and Creamery will open next to Lucky’s Market at 3990 Broadway in Boulder in October. Pastry Chef Jen Bush will operate the new bakery.

The Denver Post | H&M to open store at FlatIron Crossing in Broomfield, Colorado

Cheap chic retailer H&M will open another store in FlatIron Crossing this fall on the upper level in the current Eddie Bauer space. Eddie Bauer will relocate to the lower level next to Tilly’s.

The new H&M will carry affordable fashions for women, men and children in an 18,000-square-foot one-story space.

The Sweden-based retailer opened its first Colorado outlet in the Denver Pavilions, and had previously announced it would add a second location in the Cherry Creek Shopping Center.

H&M has roughly 2,500 stores in 43 markets worldwide.
