Denver Business Journal | Denver developer buys Foothills Mall + more recent deals

Alberta Development Partners LLC, in a joint venture with affiliates of Walton Street Capital, a private equity real estate investment firm, bought the 753,000-square-foot Foothills Mall with plans to refurbish it. The seller was General Growth Properties Inc., which owns Park Meadows and other malls around the United States.

In the “better late than never” category, here’s the details on one of the biggest deals of the second quarter.

Hines U.S. Office Value Added Fund, doing business as Hines VAF Mountain View LP, sold Broomfield’s Mountain View Corporate Center for $92 million to Denver-based Westfield Company Inc., doing business as Mountain View Acquisition Group.

The 461,438 square-foot, Class A, office property is at 12002 Airport Way in Broomfield and consists of three, three-story buildings and a four-story building on 27 acres of land.

Denver’s Kentro Real Estate Group sold the historic Holiday Theater Complex, 2644-2656 W. 32nd Ave., Denver, for $2.4 million to the Highlands Church, doing business as Vidapoint LLC.
