When chef Justin Cucci revealed his utterly amazing, somewhat nutso plan to crane-lift a 1975 RV-turned-food truck on top of Linger back in January, Denver gasped a little bit. Could something this mindboogling really go down? Absolutely. And now, Cucci is not lifting one — but two trucks on top of his restaurant. Cucci reveals to Eater that a food trailer will join his pimped out RV on the roof in a matter of weeks. He’s currently gutting and customizing the RV into a spectacular street bar, and he’s outfitting an old food trailer with a kitchen. The two mobile venues will sit parked on top of the restaurant, where Cucci is currently building another patio space with 100 seats. When rooftop expansion is complete, Linger will have two decks in total — both of them offering one of the finest views of Denver, and one of the most uniquedining options to date.
Infinite Monkey Theorem’s New Project, Chef Kelly Whitaker of Pizzeria Basta Included
Whether or not you’re a fan of wine in a can — or Infinite Monkey Theorem’s annoyingly trendy monkey-wine bottles corked with glass — there’s no denying that urban winemaker Ben Parsons is one hell of an innovator. And people, he’s bringing Boulder chef Kelly Whitaker of Pizzeria Basta to Denver. Well, for a few nights a week, at least. Parsons tells Westword that he’ll relocate his winery to River North, where he plans on building a glorious tasting room equipped with a pizza oven manned by Whitaker.
SOBO— The Irish Rover has new event space next door called Céad Mile Fáílte, which translates to “100,000 Welcomes.” There’s also a brand new rooftop bar on top of the establishment, open 3 p.m. – close.
