The Denver Post | Team alters proposal, moves hotel lobby out of Denver Union Station great hall

The group proposing a hotel for Denver Union Station has tweaked its plan, putting the front desk on the building’s second floor rather than in the great hall.

Union Station Alliance revised its plan to alleviate concerns that the train station’s great hall would be perceived as a hotel lobby, rather than a waiting area for transit passengers.

The Regional Transportation District board, initially expected to vote for a proposal Tuesday, requested more information from both teams vying to redevelop the space and has pushed the date for the vote to Dec. 13.
